Induction of New Government Inspector General
Implementing the decisions of the State President on personnel work, on April 15, 2021, the Government Inspectorate of Viet Nam (GIV) solemnly held a conference to hand over the task between the Secretary of 13th Party Central Committee cum Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and Member of the Party Central Committee, new Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong. Also attending were Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Inspector General Tran Ngoc Liem, Deputy Inspector General Dang Cong Huan, Deputy Inspector General Bui Ngoc Lam, Deputy Inspector General Tran Van Minh; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Dinh Nghi and Members of the Standing Board of Nam Dinh Provincial Communist Party Committee and leaders of departments, bureaus and units under the GIV.
In the presence of the Deputies Inspector General and all participants, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and new Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong signed the handover minutes.
Speaking at the handover conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai congratulated Doan Hong Phong upon his assumption of new responsibilities as the Government Inspector General. Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai emphasized that in recent years, the Government and the Inspectorate have made important contributions to the implementation of tasks assigned by the Party, National Assembly and the Government. Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai also noted a number of key tasks that need to be implemented in the coming time, including: attaching great importance to institutional and legal completion, especially the works related to the activities of the GIV such as completing the draft on amending and supplementing the Inspection Law to submit to the National Assembly for approval; training human resources to meet the requirements of assigned tasks, strengthening the discipline of inspection officials while performing their duty; accelerating the implementation of the inspection missions planned in 2021, attach importance to handling and solving complex inspection cases, ensuring the progress and efficiency of the work to satisfy the requirement of the work in the new situation; paying attention to office facilities to ensure good working conditions, improving income and life of officials who working in Inspectorate sector in general and in the GIV in particular.
For his part, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong congratulated Deputy PM Le Minh Khai for his new role and promised to strive together with the whole leaders of GIV, stay united in will and action to overcome all difficulties and challenges; to bring into full play the achieved results that Inspectorate sector gained during the past time to effectively carry out the duties assigned by the Party, State and people. Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong required cadres, civil servants and public employees of GIV in particular and the entire Inspectorate sector in general continue to be active and operate the mission comprehensively and effectively; uphold the philosophy of dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility be eager to learn and constantly study, strengthen public responsibility and foster ethical conducts; overcome all difficulties and challenges, strive to complete the assigned tasks well.
